Why We Built This Site
Texas provides several public record paths, but each answers a different question. Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office holds its reports and current jail data. The District Clerk keeps felony filings, and the County Clerk keeps Class A and B misdemeanor cases. Texas DPS runs the statewide repository, TDCJ tracks state custody, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry serves a separate public-safety purpose. We collect the official contacts, fees, portals, and request steps needed to navigate those lines.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference resource. It has no affiliation with a Texas court, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, a police department, or any state agency. Those limits matter:
- We do not retrieve criminal records or perform official checks
- We cannot submit expunction petitions or public-information requests for a reader
- Certified court copies and repository records must come from the custodian
- We do not offer legal advice about a charge, warrant, or case
- Government offices may change their fees, hours, contacts, and procedures
Only the originating office, such as the Sheriff, a court clerk, or Texas DPS, can issue an official record. We identify the route, but the document must come from its custodian.
